Why This Matters
80% of agricultural land is used for livestock, whereas only 16% of land is used to grow crops for direct human consumption. At the same time, almost one-in-ten people in the world are undernourished, and animal agriculture is responsible for more global greenhouse gas emissions than planes, trains, and automobiles combined.
This system is inefficient, unsustainable and destructive. But it doesn’t have to be this way.
Our Solution
We are building a new path for ambitious professionals who want to dedicate their career to solving this problem. The U.S. Food System Reform Program will equip a small group of committed individuals to work full-time on transforming our food system.
