Addiction takes many forms. For some, it’s the grip of products like tobacco on our health. For others, it’s a career path they no longer believe in — but can’t seem to leave behind.
In our first episode, we meet Eline Goethals and Vaibhav Jain: two fellows who left high-status careers to tackle one of the world’s deadliest industries head-on. “Some think we’ve already beaten Big Tobacco,” says co-founder Rutger Bregman. “But if you look at the vaping epidemic or the rise in tobacco deaths in poorer countries, the truth is: we’re not winning yet.”
